Living in the Clouds: A Luxurious Penthouse Apartment in New Taipei City

A Noble and Stable Atmosphere Inspired by Nature

The penthouse apartment, located on the 32nd floor, boasts a custom floor plan that caters to daily living for individuals or families, while also providing flexibility for entertaining intimate gatherings or hosting large soirees. The primary theme throughout the space is earth-toned, with subtle variations in depth and natural textures of stone, wood, and metal. These elements combine to create a modern and vivid scenery. The warm grey-tone furniture and lighting fixtures add a timeless and contemporary look and feel to the apartment.

The realization of this design incorporates advanced technology and materials. Rose gold titanium ion coated stainless steel frames mount glass partitions in the study and sliding doors, creating a luxurious and unique aesthetic. A smart home lighting and control system enhances connectivity and elevates the overall living experience.

The apartment spans an interior area of 300 square meters, providing ample space for comfortable living. The public area features an open floor plan that includes the living room, open-plan island kitchen, and dining area. Large windows in the living room offer panoramic views of Taipei's striking cityscape. The private area consists of a spacious master bedroom suite at the rear of the apartment, complete with a glass door opening into a private and luxurious bathroom. Two additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are situated adjacent to the master bedroom, each offering large windows that overlook the city and allow for ample natural light.

The design project for this luxurious penthouse apartment began in February and was completed in July 2021 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Throughout the project, the design team faced various challenges, including initial space planning and fundamental works due to the roughcast nature of the apartment. However, through successful collaboration with builders and craftsmen, the team achieved the desired aesthetics while maintaining practical functionality.

This exceptional design by Kirstin Fu-Ying Wang has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative features. This award acknowledges the integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
